Tuition & Policies
We keep things simple so you can focus on your student, and we can focus on teaching. These policies apply to ongoing tutoring starting November 1, 2026.
Monthly tuition
Tutoring is billed as a flat monthly tuition, September through May. That’s 9 invoices a year and nothing over the summer. Your tuition reserves a standing weekly time for your student, and holiday breaks are already built into the price.
Twice a week: $480 a month by bank transfer, $490 by card
Once a week: $300 a month by bank transfer, $310 by card
Flexible schedules: for families whose weeks vary, such as shared custody or travel, we set a number of sessions each month and schedule them week by week
Short-term blocks: for set dates, such as exam prep, billed once up front
Students who start mid-year pay a prorated first month.
Paying tuition
Invoices are sent through QuickBooks on the 1st of each month.
Autopay is the easiest option. Set it up once from your first invoice, and we’re happy to help at your first session.
Bank transfer keeps tuition lowest. Cards are welcome and cost $10 a month more to cover processing fees. Cash and checks are accepted too.
Payments not on autopay are due by the 14th. After that, a $25 late fee applies and sessions pause until the balance is paid. We waive the first late fee each school year.
Two households
Many families share tuition between two homes, and we’re glad to set that up. Each household receives its own invoice for its share, 50/50 unless you tell us otherwise. Both households agree to the arrangement at enrollment. With your permission, we’ll send progress updates to both homes so everyone stays in the loop.
Missed sessions
Schedule conflict: give us at least 24 hours’ notice and we’ll schedule a makeup within 30 days.
Sick student: let us know any time before the session and we’ll make it up. Please keep sick students home.
Families may have up to 2 makeups a month. No-shows can’t be made up.
If we ever need to cancel, we’ll always make the session up or credit your next invoice.
Withdrawing
Give us notice by the 15th of the month before your last month. For example, notice by November 15 means November is your final month, and no December invoice is sent.
Other programs
Short-term tutoring: need help with a specific exam or a few weeks of catch-up? We’ll set a block of dates at our standard per-session rate, billed once before the first session.
Homeschool classes: $535 a semester. Split payments are available on request.
College study pods: paid in full before the first session to hold your seat. Pod fees are non-refundable, but you may transfer your seat to another student.
